First Day of Pre-school
Today was Nick's first day of pre-school. He was all excited and ready to go until of course we got in the classroom and he froze. He was a little intimidated by all the kids and when the teacher took him away from me- he freaked out! But I left quickly and according to them- after the first couple minutes he then had a blast. He was happy when I went to pick him up and had to show me his papers. So, hopefully then next few drop offs go a little better. Thursday- it's daddy's turn.

Vacation
Our family vacation was a trip to LaCrosse Wisconsin to see my sister and family. We left Thursday night and stayed in Ames to break up the drive a little. Arrived on Friday afternoon. The kids played well the entire time- had a few spats- but nothing too bad. We hung out at Beth and Mike's house most of the time. Took the kids to the children's museum and then Sunday we all went on a boat cruise on the Mississippi. It was a nice trip and good time.

Class reunion
For those that read Beth's blog- she gave the low down of our weekend back in Ruthven for Bully Bullhead weekend. Boating, Parade, Street Dances- and alot of people pretty much sums it up. It was fun to see everyone. Our class celebrated our 15yr at Dave and Jill's. Close to half showed up- maybe for our 20 yr we will get a better turn out? I won't hold my breath- but they don't know what they are missing!!!

Two Peas in a Pod
The Kids
As for the kids. Emily will be 9 months on the 10th and is the happiest baby I have ever seen! She finally decided to start eating some baby food. It took until she turned 8 months until she decided it wasn't that bad. Still no teeth yet- but I think we are getting closer! She has started a little crawling- but hasn't really taken off yet- but it won't be long. She likes to roll around on the floor and "wrestle" with her brother. It is so funny to watch them both giggle. As for Nicker, he is a little talker- especially if some stranger comes to the house (ie- the cable guy) he followed him around and talked his ear off. But if it is family he turns into a shy little boy? He has taken well to the move- I think understands the reasoning behind what is going on. He knows our "old" house and where the new house is and calls this townhome "the rental" Kinda cute. We are still struggling with the potty training. I may have to call in sick for a week and just work with him one on one every day to get this down. Cheerios worked for a little bit- but I am running out of time and ideas! He is supposed to start pre-school in the fall and has to be potty trained. Any suggestions out there I am open to them! Otherwise we are all doing well. Anxiously awaiting the new house and looking forward to the summer to fly by!!
House
Well, looks like I missed a couple months in my updates- been a little busy... imagine that! First off we sold our house in a week back in March and just moved into a temporary townhome until our house is finished. Moving was not fun- as it never is but I was smart and hired some guys to move the furniture! The townhouse is not a bad set up. We can deal with it for a while. As for the new house. They have dug ground and poured the footings and walls. So it's a start. They told us originally that Oct. 31st it would be done- so we will cross our fingers! Here are some pics of the old house and then Nick helped his dad stake our new house a while back. What a big helper he is!
