Emily

Here is a recent picture of Emily. She is a growing and happy baby!! I go back to work tonight- so hopefully she continues to be a little angel with daddy!!

Cookie Day

The annual cookie day with Eric's family took place on Saturday. Since aunt Jenny was under the weather we had a couple extra helpers. Uncle Pete was showing Nick the ropes on how to decorate cookies!!

Future Notre Dame Grad

Well, our little Nicker had to get glasses!! He looks very cute in them- but it's been a little struggle to convince a 3yr old to wear them. He was kind of doing that cross eyed thing and so I got him in to see an eye doctor and sure enough we needed glasses! They say it's genetic somewhere in the family- but obviously not from his mom or dad!! Anyway, it could be worse- we will all adjust and it will justify my kid is a genius after all!!!!

Emily's 2 month

Today we had Emily's 2 month check-up. She is a healthy 11 lbs 8 oz which is in the 75th percentile. Nick was never in the 75th percentile!! She is 22 3/4 inches long which is in the 70th percentile. Her head is small but is on the charts. Nick's head was the only thing in the 50th-75th percentile- maybe that is where all his weight went!! Anyway, she got the green light and is perfect!! She got her 3 shots while Nicker got his flu shot. They were both troopers and only cried for a little bit!

Emily's Baptism

This weekend we traveled back to Ruthven for Emily's baptism. My uncle Fr. Tom did the honors, which was very nice. What made this even more special was that my mother in-law Karen took the time to make Emily's baptismal gown, which was made out of mom's wedding dress. It turned out beautifully and is something to cherish forever, just like mom. Emily was a trooper and didn't shed a tear- unlike her cousin AJ who cried the entire time during his! Eric's family made the trip which was very thoughtful of them. Beth and Mike were not able to make it because Mike is trying to thin out the deer population. All in all it was a very nice ceremony despite the cold tempatures!

Trip to the Zoo

Today was a gorgeous day at 76 degrees and we couldn't pass up doing something outside, so we went to the zoo. We went with Nick's friend Cora. They had a fun time. However, the highlight wasn't the animals- it was the ball and water in the picture!! Maybe it was more refreshing than anything or a contest to see who could get the wettest!!

Halloween

This year for Halloween Nick dressed up as his favorite character- Curious George. He is quite the little monkey himself and had a fun time going trick or treating. He is so shy though he wouldn't say "trick or treat" but thought it was fun to get candy! Emily decided to just be the little pumpkin that she is and chill out with mom while Eric and Nick ventured out. All in all it was a good night!

Pumpkin Patch

Also earlier this month I took Nick to the pumpkin patch along with Shelley and 2 of the kids from daycare. They had a ball!! I have to say the slide was probably the biggest hit- but Nick saw lots of tractors that he refers to as "papa's tractors" which were pretty cool too! Grandma watched Emily so we could have some mom and Nicker time.

Future Firefighter

Earlier this month we took a trip to the fire station. My friends husband works there and this is of one Nick's infatuations right now. This is the second time we went and he just thinks it's pretty cool. This time he climbed up on top of them and was a little more in to it. Here are a few pictures!!

Emily Kathleen

Little miss Emily is 7 weeks old today! My how those weeks fly! She is doing great! I weighed her on Monday and she is at 10 lbs 9 oz. Growing just fine!! She doesn't have the whole sleeping thing down yet- consistently does the grunting thing from 3am-6am every morning. I assume it is reflux so we started her on zantac this week. We will see if this helps in the next couple weeks!! Otherwise she is just a little angel. Her brother seems to really like her and is protective of her as well. Here are some recent pictures of her.

It's finally here!!

Welcome to my blog!!  Sorry it's been taking me awhile to get into this- but I am not as computer savvy as some!!  I will start by telling you that little Nicholas turns 3 today!! We had his party on Sunday and he had a great time!  He played with his new toys all day yesterday which made it nice for mom! We also had his 3yr check up and he is doing fine.  He is almost 30 lbs still small- but he is on the charts now!! He is quite the little talker when he warms up- takes after his dad. We are still struggling with potty training- but I am not pushing him too hard. He is now in a big boy bed which was one great accomplishment!! He always liked his crib! One thing at a time around here! Here are some pictures from his birthday party. Enjoy!
